Patients are seen in order of arrival, urgent cases may be triaged accordingly.

Patient Alert
If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as a cough, fever, sore throat or runny nose please ensure you have a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) before visiting the practice and you must wear a mask whilst in the practice building.
If you are COVID positive, please do not enter the practice, phone to arrange a telehealth appointment. Only patients seen in person at this practice within the last 12 months will be eligible for a Medicare rebatable telehealth consult.

Appointments can be booked by phoning (02) 6797 8733 or book online.
Repeat prescriptions and referrals can be requested online or through the HotDoc app, we do not accept requests through email.
An appointment for a consultation with the doctor may be necessary. Please note immunisations, company medicals and any appointments requiring a nurse cannot be booked online, please ring reception.
Gwydir Medical is a privately billing practice and for most services there will be a private fee. Bulk billing may be available for people who hold a current Veteran’s Affairs Card, Aged Care pensioners and eligible immunisations. Information about our fees is displayed at reception. Fees are payable at the time of consultation, no personal cheques are accepted. The practice will facilitate your Medicare rebate to be paid directly to your nominated bank account if you have registered your bank account details with Medicare.
If you have any financial hardship please discuss this with your doctor at the time of consultation.
Appointment Cancellation and Accounts
Please Note:
We require 4hrs notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. The full consult fee may be charged for repeated late cancellations or non-attendance. Please note that this fee is not eligible for the Medicare Rebate.
Outstanding Accounts are to be settled promptly. Delay in payment will require prepayment for future appointments. If you have any concerns please discuss this with the Practice Manager.
